Installation supervised, equipment set up and tested on site, and the system brought into service correctly.
We supervise installation work and carry out the setup and testing of equipment on site, helping bring the system into service correctly and minimising the risk of failures. Installation supervision and commissioning matter most on complex sites — where there's automatic redundancy, control cabinets or integration with other building systems, or where the installation is being carried out by a contractor who needs support with the specifics of the equipment.
During supervision, we help the installation team follow the right sequence of work: we check that cable connections match the diagram, that devices are fitted correctly, that earthing and safety requirements are met, and that labelling and switching are correct. This is the stage where mistakes get caught before start-up — when fixing them costs far less and doesn't bring work on site to a halt.
Commissioning covers verifying the operating logic and setting equipment parameters within the agreed limits: testing protection devices, checking ATS transfers, testing control circuits, verifying alarm and monitoring circuits, and carrying out functional tests within the scope of the contract. The point isn't just to switch it on — it's to confirm the system runs reliably across different modes: as the load changes, on loss of supply, in fault scenarios, and when power is restored.
We make sure your operations team receives clear instructions for the basic modes and for what to do in typical situations. On completion, the agreed test results and recommendations are documented. This approach reduces the likelihood of failures, improves safety, and shortens the time it takes to bring the site up to full operation.
Supervision and commissioning are also a way of protecting your investment: even good equipment can run unreliably or fail outright if it's wired incorrectly or set up wrong. We help you avoid that — ensuring the system is brought into service properly and works exactly as the design intended.
